Raft is easily one of the most addictive survival games I have played in years. Starting with nothing but a small plank of wood in a vast ocean makes the initial loop incredibly satisfying as you hook debris to expand your base. The core gameplay loop of gathering resources while fending off hungry sharks is perfectly balanced. I have spent countless hours playing this on my PC, and the performance remains smooth even when my massive floating fortress gets quite complicated to manage.
The story progression adds a nice layer of mystery that keeps you hooked far longer than a typical sandbox title. Exploring tropical islands and abandoned radio towers feels rewarding, especially when you play co-op with friends. While the controls can feel a bit floaty at times, the overall polish of the building system and the aesthetic appeal of the ocean environment make it well worth the price. It is truly a gem for anyone who enjoys base-building and survival mechanics with friends.
