Prison Tycoon Alcatraz is honestly a blast if you enjoy management sims that don’t take themselves too seriously. I really liked the historical setting since handling the world’s most famous prison brings a unique set of challenges you don’t get in generic builders. The controls feel smooth on my PC, and the building mechanics are intuitive enough to pick up quickly. It’s a great way to kill a few hours while trying to keep order behind bars.
The replay value is surprisingly high because there are so many ways to design your layout and deal with unruly inmates. I did notice some minor bugs with pathfinding during longer sessions, but nothing that ruins the overall experience or prevents you from progressing. If you enjoy simulation games with a touch of strategy, this one is definitely worth a look. It offers a solid mix of classic tycoon gameplay with enough fresh content to keep you coming back for more.
