Mastering the Dungeon: Legend of Grimrock 2 Review

Legend of Grimrock 2 is a massive leap forward from the first game, offering an open-world island setting that feels incredibly immersive. The puzzle design is genuinely clever, often requiring you to pay close attention to environmental clues rather than just brute-forcing your way through. I loved the character progression system and the variety of classes available. It is easily one of the best dungeon crawlers available for the PC platform, especially if you enjoy old-school grid-based combat and exploration.

The atmosphere in this game is top-notch, with lighting and sound effects that keep you on edge while exploring dark, mysterious ruins. While the controls take a little time to master, they feel very responsive once you get into the flow of combat. Replay value is huge here thanks to the different party compositions and secret areas tucked away in every corner. If you are a fan of classic RPGs that don’t hold your hand, this is definitely a must-play title.
