Death Road to Canada is easily one of the most addictive zombie survival games I’ve played in a long time. The pixel art style is charming, but don’t let the visuals fool you; this game is brutally difficult and keeps you on your toes constantly. I love the randomly generated road trips where every decision, from scavenging for supplies to choosing which recruit to save, impacts your survival. It captures the chaos of a road trip apocalypse perfectly with hilarious writing and tons of personality.
I’ve sunk countless hours into the PC version because the replay value is practically endless. While the controls might feel a bit twitchy at first, you quickly get the hang of the fast-paced combat. The sheer variety of characters—including secret ones like a dog who can drive—adds so much depth to every run. If you enjoy roguelikes that punish you but make you want to try one more time, this title is an absolute must-play.
