Undertale is easily one of the most clever games I have ever experienced. The way it subverts traditional RPG tropes is brilliant, forcing you to choose between fighting or befriending monsters. The dialogue is hilarious and heartwarming, and the characters feel surprisingly real by the end of your adventure. Even though the art style is simple and retro, it perfectly sets the tone for the emotional journey. If you are playing on PC, it runs perfectly and the controls are very intuitive.
The replay value here is incredible because your choices genuinely impact the outcome of the story. I found myself going back multiple times just to see how different decisions changed the world and character interactions. The soundtrack also deserves special mention for being absolutely iconic across every single boss fight. It is challenging, funny, and occasionally heartbreaking. Honestly, this game lives up to the massive reputation it has gained since launch. It is a true indie gem that everyone needs to play at least once.
