UberSoldier 2 Crimes of War: A Retro FPS Classic Reviewed

If you enjoy old-school shooters that don’t hold your hand, UberSoldier 2 Crimes of War is a blast from the past worth revisiting. The game focuses on intense run-and-gun action with plenty of supernatural elements to keep things interesting. While the graphics certainly show their age, the gunplay feels surprisingly tight and satisfying for a title of this era. It runs smoothly on almost any modern PC, making it a great choice for a weekend nostalgia trip.

The difficulty curve can be a bit steep, but conquering the various missions remains rewarding. The level design offers a decent variety of settings, and the enemy AI keeps you on your toes throughout the campaign. It lacks some of the polish found in modern shooters, but the chaotic combat loop provides enough fun to overlook the dated UI. If you are a fan of classic World War II-themed shooters with a sci-fi twist, this game is definitely worth grabbing.
