Testbed Terror delivers an intense atmosphere that kept me on edge from start to finish. The level design feels incredibly claustrophobic, which really complements the unsettling story and hidden environmental clues. I played this on my PC, and the optimization was surprisingly solid, featuring smooth frame rates even during the most chaotic segments. If you enjoy games that rely on psychological tension rather than cheap jump scares, you will find a lot to love in this creepy experience.
The controls feel tight and responsive, which is essential given how fast the enemy encounters can get. While some of the puzzles require a bit of outside-the-box thinking, the sense of accomplishment after solving them is fantastic. I’ve already jumped back in for a second playthrough because the replay value is surprisingly high for an indie title. It is definitely one of the most underrated gems I have picked up recently, and I highly recommend it to any horror fan.
