Savior of the Abyss hooked me from the very first boss fight. The atmosphere is incredibly moody, and the combat feels tight and responsive, which is exactly what I look for in a challenging action title. The art style really stands out, creating a grim world that feels dangerous to explore. I’ve been playing it on my PC and the performance is smooth as silk. If you enjoy games that don’t hold your hand and reward skill, this is a must-play.
The story pacing is spot on, slowly revealing mysteries without dumping too much text at once. I love the variety in enemy designs, as each area introduces unique mechanics that force you to adapt your playstyle. While some sections are definitely tough, the satisfaction of finally beating a difficult sequence is unmatched. The developers have clearly put a lot of love into the design. It is definitely one of the most underrated gems I have picked up this year. Give it a shot!
