Mayhem Brawler took me by surprise with its vibrant, comic-book art style and incredibly smooth combat mechanics. It really captures that classic 90s arcade vibe while feeling polished for modern hardware. Playing this on my PC with a controller felt responsive, and the branching narrative paths add a surprising amount of replay value. If you grew up pumping quarters into machines at the local mall, this title is a love letter to the genre that you absolutely shouldn’t miss.
The character designs are distinct, and the voice acting actually adds a lot of personality to the urban fantasy setting. I found the difficulty curve to be just right—challenging enough to keep you on your toes but fair enough that you don’t get discouraged. Whether you are playing solo or teaming up with friends for some couch co-op, the mayhem is non-stop. It is a fantastic indie gem that proves side-scrolling brawlers are still very much alive and kicking today.
