Returning to the Mojave Wasteland is a quintessential experience for any RPG fan. The writing in this game is lightyears ahead of most modern titles, offering branching paths and choices that actually feel like they matter. While the engine shows its age and you might run into the occasional glitch, the sheer depth of the factions and the atmosphere of the desert keep me hooked for hundreds of hours. Playing this on PC really is the best way to enjoy it thanks to all the community mods.
This package is a steal because it includes all the DLC in one go. Exploring the Sierra Madre or the Big MT adds so much missing context to the main Courier story that I can’t imagine playing the base game without them. The gunplay feels a bit clunky by today’s standards, but the RPG mechanics and the dark, sarcastic humor make up for it every time. If you want a masterclass in world-building and player freedom, you absolutely need to pick this up.
