Cthulhu Saves Christmas is easily one of the most charming and hilarious RPGs I have played in years. The turn-based combat feels tight and rewarding, while the writing perfectly nails that absurd, self-aware humor the studio is known for. It is the perfect length for a holiday-themed game, offering enough depth to keep you hooked without overstaying its welcome. Running this on my PC was a smooth experience, and the pixel art style looks absolutely fantastic on a modern monitor.
I honestly didn’t expect to fall in love with this game as much as I did. The story is completely ridiculous, but that is exactly what makes it so memorable. The character progression is straightforward, and the soundtrack is surprisingly catchy for such a niche title. If you are looking for a fun, lighthearted game to marathon during the winter season, this is it. It has definitely earned its place in my library alongside other classic indie gems that I revisit annually.
