Playing through Clive Barker’s Jericho is a wild, grotesque ride that feels like nothing else in the shooter genre. The squad mechanics are incredibly satisfying, allowing you to swap between characters who have unique supernatural abilities to overcome horrific enemies. Even years later, the art direction and gore effects hold up surprisingly well, capturing that signature Barker darkness perfectly. While the AI can be a bit clumsy at times, the overall atmosphere and the intense, fast-paced combat keep you hooked from start to finish.
Performance on PC is generally smooth, though the game is definitely a product of its time with some dated movement controls. The story is thick with occult lore and terrifying creature designs that still creep me out. I really appreciate how the game emphasizes teamwork, making you think strategically about which squad member to use in specific encounters. If you are a fan of body horror and want a shooter that leans heavily into supernatural themes, it is definitely worth a playthrough.
