Aces Wild PC Review: Stylish Air Combat with Brutal Difficulty

Aces Wild is a fast 2D fighting game that changes how normal beat ‘em up games work. Instead of staying on the ground, you are always moving in the air. You dash, jump off walls, and fly around while fighting enemies. The game is built for nonstop movement, so staying on the ground usually means you are not playing it the right way.

The combat is based on building up energy by hitting enemies with quick attacks. Once your meter is full, you can use a powerful move called “Crash Charge” that can defeat many enemies at once. When you time your moves well, avoid attacks in the air, and counter enemies correctly, the fighting feels fast, exciting, and very satisfying.

However, the game can be very hard and confusing for some players. Later levels become crowded with bullets, missiles, and lasers, which makes it difficult to see what is happening on screen. This visual chaos can make the game frustrating instead of fun.

Some players also feel that the difficulty increases too much in the second half. Enemies become stronger and take longer to defeat, which slows down the fast action and makes fights feel repetitive.
