Turning Point Fall of Liberty presents a really fascinating take on the World War II genre by showing us what would happen if the Axis powers successfully invaded the United States. The atmosphere is genuinely chilling, and seeing Nazi flags flying over iconic American landmarks gives the game a unique edge. While the gunplay feels a bit dated by modern standards, the narrative hooks are strong enough to keep you pushing forward through the campaign to see how the resistance fights back.
I spent several hours playing this on my PC, and it was certainly a nostalgic trip back to the mid-2000s era of shooters. The graphics have aged quite a bit, and the movement feels a little clunky at times, but the cinematic set pieces are still fairly impressive for their age. If you enjoy “what if” historical scenarios and aren’t bothered by some repetitive enemy AI, this title is worth a look for the sheer creativity of the premise alone.
