Totally Reliable Delivery Service is a ragdoll-physics comedy sandbox that fully embraces the chaos of its own premise: you play as a hopelessly incompetent package courier, and “Delivery Attempted” is the closest thing to a guarantee the company offers. Alone or with up to four friends in local or online co-op, players stumble through a sprawling open world using odd machinery and improvised gadgets, wrestling floppy, physics-driven bodies through increasingly absurd delivery routes. Success is almost beside the point — the real joy comes from watching plans fall apart in spectacularly funny ways, whether that means launching a package into a moving blimp, tumbling down a hillside, or accidentally demolishing half the neighborhood along the way. With a huge world to explore, unlockable zones, vehicles, and cosmetics to earn, and an emphasis on goofy experimentation over precision, it’s a game built for anyone who’d rather laugh at failure than stress over getting things right.
The graphics are charming and fit the goofy tone of the game perfectly. Even though the physics can be frustrating when you are trying to be serious, the developers clearly designed it for pure chaotic fun. It has great replay value because every delivery run ends up being a completely different wild ride. It is currently one of my favorite go-to games when I just want to switch off my brain and have a good time with the squad.
