ENDER LILIES is an absolute gem for anyone who loves atmospheric side-scrollers. The hand-drawn art style is breathtaking, and the haunting piano soundtrack perfectly captures the melancholic world Lily inhabits. Gameplay-wise, it feels tight and responsive, and the unique system of summoning spirits to fight for you adds a layer of strategy that keeps every encounter interesting. If you enjoy challenging boss fights and exploration-heavy levels, this title provides a fantastic experience that holds up incredibly well on PC.
The story is told subtly through environments and item descriptions, which makes uncovering lore feel like a rewarding personal discovery. I found the controls to be very precise, even during the most frantic, high-intensity platforming sections. While ENDER LILIES it does get difficult, the sense of progression is incredibly satisfying as you unlock new movement abilities to access previously hidden secrets. It’s easily one of the most polished Metroidvania games I’ve played in years; it’s moody, beautiful, and totally worth your time.
